The online registration system is available for you to update all personal information - just like an online banking system.  Just like banking, you can also update your personal preferences, such as name, mailing address, email address, etc.

We need 2 email addresses since LCYO’s communication with you in the future will be by email.  Unfortunately, we cannot always follow-up by phone if you change your email address, thus, it is best if you input 2 email addresses so there is assurance that you will be notified of:

To update your mailing and email address, logon to your account:

2.  On the left panel of the LCYO website, click on Online Registration > Players

3.  Click on the panel on the top of the screen named "Your File"

4.  Input your username and password.

Note:  if you did not change your username and password, then the default USERNAME is the first 4 letters of your last name (all CAPS) and the first 4 numbers in your address (eg HALL2234). The default PASSWORD is your 7 digit home phone number (eg 7531234).

5.      Under “Your File”, you will see a link to “edit your account” (see sample below).

This will allow you to change the following information:

q       Username

q       Secondary Email Address

q       Password

q       Address

q       Email Address

q       Phone Number

q       How can I confirm if my registration went through?

There are a few ways.

1.      Once you register AND pay, you will receive a receipt via email showing what the credit card was billed for, including your child’s name, division, date, and amount.

2.      Log into the system with your username and password.  The screen will show “Your File”, and you can click on the “Payment History”:

3.      On the same screen under “Your File”, navigate to your child’s name, and it will show a history of the payments, and if there is a current balance.  This balance says that it is paid in full.

q       I know that I already paid.  Can you please confirm this fact?

It appears that you started the registration on October 17, 2005 @ 9:26am, but never completed it.  Please login again, and you will see that your registration shows that you still have a balance – see the red box below.  Click on this link to pay by credit card, and your registration will be paid.

q       I am an AOL subscriber, and I can’t seem to get your messages.  What can I do?

We suggest a couple of items for AOL subscribers:

1.  Visit the LCYO website frequently.  All information that is sent to email recipients is also posted on the website, such as tryout dates, clinics, etc.

2.  Provide us a second email address (work, spouse, etc.) in our system.  This will ensure that both email addresses have notices posted to it.

q       Which division should my 8 year old son be in?

Depending upon where you live in Carlsbad, we have a NORTH and SOUTH Division of LCYO.  The dividing line is basically La Costa Avenue elementary schools, i.e., if your son goes to a school which is North of La Costa Avenue, then sign him up for Pinto-North.  Otherwise, he should sign up for Pinto-South, so he can be with other boys from his school.

Our new registration system will automatically put him in the Pinto Division - due to his age.  So, follow these steps:

1.      Log onto www.lcyo.org

2.      Click on the link that says "Click here for LCYO Registration System".

3.      Click on the top link "Programs", and then "Spring06 Baseball".

4.      Click on "Spring06 Pinto North", or the one for South.  Note that there is an explanation of the schools of who should sign up for which division.  You can always go BACK if it is incorrect.

5.      Click on "Register Now", and follow the prompts.

I would also suggest putting in a request to be with someone from his current school, or say from the same school.  This would be under "Carpool Request".

q       What constitutes the “North” vs. the “South” division in Pinto?

Pinto North- Recommended for players who live by the following public elementary schools: Aviara Oaks, La Costa Meadows, Pacific Rim, Rancho Carrillo, and San Elijo.

Pinto South- Recommended for children who live by the following public elementary schools:  El Camino Creek, La Costa Heights, Mission Estancia, and any school in Encinitas.

q       Can you give me more information about the T-ball season?  What days, times, and fields are the games held at?

Most information that you need is on the LCYO website.  Below is an extract of the T-Ball Fact Sheet for the 2006 season (Baseball > Information on Baseball Divisions > TBall Fact Sheet):

"Practices and Games  Practices and games generally last between 1 and 1 ½ hours. Preseason begins in February and consists of two practices per week (one weekday and one Saturday).  Saturday games will begin in early March.  Teams may continue to practice on weekdays until Daylight savings time begins, when each team will have a weekday game and a Saturday game. T-Ball games and practices will be held at El Camino Creek and Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary Schools. "

q       How do you sign up to become a Team Parent?

It is a 2-step process:

Step 1:  Each person volunteers themselves

 a.  Go to the LCYO website - on the left side under "Online Registration", click on “Coaches/Volunteers".

 b.  Click on "I want to volunteer"

 c.  Click Yes to the question:  "Have you signed up with LCYO On-Line before?"

 d.  Sign in with your Username and Password.

[Remember:  Your default (and recommended) USERNAME is the first 4 letters in your last name (all CAPS) and the first 4 numbers in your address (eg HALL2234). The default password is your 7 digit home phone number with NO dash or space (eg 7531234)!! ]

 e.   Click on the correct volunteer - in this case, whoever will be the Team Parent.

 f.    Review and modify any "Volunteer " information (name, email, home, and daytime phone numbers)

 g.   IMPORTANT:  from the pull-down menu, stating "I'm volunteering to be a ", choose TEAM PARENT.

 h.   IMPORTANT:  from the pull-down menu for the program, select which Division (Bronco, Pony, Division 1).

 i.    Click CONTINUE at the bottom of the screen.

If you are a TEAM PARENT for multiple teams, then you will have to do this multiple times because it creates a new entry for each TEAM PARENT team.

Step 2:  League assigns the volunteers to the correct team

The league must assign the correct volunteer to the team - the volunteer cannot perform this action.  At this point, each Division Director submits the team parents to online@lcyo.org, and specific LCYO personnel will assign the volunteer to the correct team.

Each volunteer can ensure that the process goes smoothly by volunteering to the correct Program/Division.
